AASECT CSE Supervision

Thanks for your interesting in working with me for your AASECT supervision towards becoming an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator! I am currently provide sliding scale 1:1 and group supervision for people who are interested in being certified within the next 2 years or are working towards their renewals. I also work with sexuality educators who are not AASECT involved, but would like coaching support with their work.

INDIVIDUAL SUPERVISION

I provide supervision for individuals at various career stages, who are either currently working with adults or would like to expand into teaching sexuality-related content to adults. The pace of supervision is largely up to the supervisee, and we can meet as often as twice a month. I provide a calendar link to all my supervisees, so that you can book supervision sessions as desired. If you would like to have an introductory call to discuss AASECT certification to see if it is a good fit with your goals, and/or to see whether we might be a good match, please reach out. If you don’t hear back from me in a week and did not receive an out of office message, feel free to email again.

GROUP SUPERVISION

**NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2026’s SEX ED SUPERVISION COHORT!**
Applications are due by December 21, 2025.

Group supervision is a cohort of 4-8 people who engage in collaborative learning and support across the course of 10 months. After an initial “getting to know you” session, each group will start off with a general life and work check-in, and then 2-3 individuals will have 30-45 minutes each to explore a topic of their choosing. It could be a recent training, a facilitation challenge, workshop a new idea, material feedback and review, talk about professional development and career building, negotiation of personal and professional boundaries, self-care, Imposters’ Syndrome — truly whatever is impacting your work or you would like support around. Each session will start with a rapport question assigned to ponder, and at the end of each session individuals will sign-up to present in the next session. Each person will be required to teach a 20 minute piece of content 1-2 times across the months. Groups range from 4-8 people, and I try to make sure everyone in the group is complementary. Throughout the group, we will be focusing on helping each other to grow personally and professionally, including recognizing and supporting the unlearning of internalized oppressions and operating from a place of social justice. This group is open to people who are applying for their initial certification, as well as current CSEs who would like to use supervision hours towards their 20 hours required for renewal. Practicing Sexuality Educators who are not engaged in AASECT or AASECT certification are also eligible to apply.

THE 2026 DETAILS

  • Group supervision meets once a month January – November 2026.
  • Group session will be held on Tuesdays: Jan 20, Feb 10, Mar 17, April 14, May 12, June 16, July 14, Aug 11, Sept 15, Oct 20, Nov 10
  • Depending on the number of people interested, there will be 1 or 2 groups held. There are two tentative time slots to choose from: 2:30-4:30 PM ET / 11:30-1:30 PT or 6:00-8:00 PM ET / 3:00-5:00 PT. (If holding 1 group, I will work to try to find the best time slot to work for all.)

By signing a supervision contract with me, the expectation is that you will participate fully in group, and attend at least 8 sessions. If you are involved in AASECT certification, you must attend 10 out of 11 sessions in order to complete the 20 hours of group supervision required for AASECT certification or the 20 hours towards renewal. Those seeking initial certification will have 5 an additional hours of required individual supervision to fulfill your supervision requirements. (If you need to miss group, you can make up the missed time with individual supervision.) Most people who participate in group supervision towards supervision also work with me as their primary supervisor and we use the remaining 5 hours of required individual supervision to complete the application related paperwork after completing group, and to explore more individually nuanced conversations about your work and career. You are totally welcome to work with someone else as a primary supervisor, provided they are also a Certified Sex Education Supervisor (CSES).

THE COST

Group supervision is Pay What You Can/Sliding Scale of $35-$275 a month. When people who can pay more do, it helps keep group accessible for those who are otherwise typically financially prevented from attending, while also balancing paying my own bills. Please note you are paying to reserve your spot in group, and so are expected to pay for your space whether or not you attend, and AASECT requires you must be or become an active AASECT member the entire time you are in supervision.

  • Monthly payment is accepted via Venmo, Paypal or invoice/check, and is due by the 3rd of the month unless we work something else out.
  • Individual supervision is sliding scale of $35-$275 per hour.
